Site management

Management of the protected area of Sesalac Cave has been entrusted to Tourist Organization of Sokobanja (TOSB), which coordinates all activities related to the preservation of natural values, visitor control, and the improvement of tourism offerings. As the managing authority, TOSB implements protection measures in accordance with current regulations and standards, ensuring biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of the site.

Ranger service

A ranger service operates within the management system,tasked with providing
regular supervision of the site, monitors visitor movement, and enforces protection measures.
Rangers maintain trails, infrastructure, and natural landmarks, provide information, explain rules of conduct, and ensure that visitors’ stays are safe and aligned with the protection regime.

Visitor Center

A visitor center, a starting point for learning about Sesalac Cave—its geology, history, flora, and fauna.
Inside the center, visitors can obtain useful information about protection rules, visiting schedules, guidelines for staying on-site, as well as other natural and cultural landmarks in the area.

Management system goals

The aim of the management system is to enable sustainable and controlled visitswhile simultaneously preserving sensitive underground formations, bat habitats, and other natural values. By combining professional supervision, visitor education, and investment in infrastructure, efforts are made to keep Sesalac Cave accessible to the public, while ensuring its protection for future generations.
